My name is Christina Henarie and I have been a Gourmet Candle distributor since April 2008. I have worked in the corporate world for over 20 years and while it "paid the bills", I always felt there had to be more to life than getting up in the morning, going to the office, coming home, getting ready for the next day, going to bed and then getting up the next morning to begin the whole cycle again. I missed SO many of my childrens school activities due to not being able to get off work. I always envied the parents who could be at all their childrens activities.

One day I had enough and decided to take charge of my life and find something where I could be my own boss. I searched the internet and found a company which I joined but after several months, I realized that it wasn't for me. While I liked the products, I was not passionate about them and therefore did not feel right about trying to get others to buy them. So once again I began searching for a business that was the right fit for me. While searching the internet, I came across a gourmet candle website. I was very intrigued by the claim that these candles were cleaner-burning and the scent was long lasting. I have always loved candles and  have several in my house but they were usually just for decorative purposes. I never burned them because the scents did not last very long. After doing some more research, I decided to join the company. I figured that if I didn't like the candles when I received my Candle of the Month pack, I could disenroll and I would only be out $40.00. I received my Candle of the Month pack a few days later and discovered that these candles were everything they claimed to be. I was hooked!!

I didn't tell my husband that I had become a gourmet candle distributor for a few days because he had not been thrilled with my last attempt at a home-based business. After receiving my candles and letting hubby experience them himself, I explained to him how the company worked and told him "I really think I can do this because I LOVE candles". He was onboard and has since become my biggest supporter especially after I made more in one day at a show than I had the entire time I was with the other company. One of the things I love about this company (besides the candles) is all the wonderful people I have met - both customers and other distributors. I am basically a shy person but find it very easy to talk to people about the candles. And the candles practically sell themselves. Take the lids off the jars at a show and people will literally come from all over trying to find where that awesome scent is coming from.

At this time, I still work in the corporate world but hope to be able to quit that life in the near future.
